'The Room', a 2003 film that has been classified as the worst movie in the history of cinema, is so poorly made that it is accidentally comical and over the years has become a cult classic. Even today, after almost 15 years, the film is still being presented around the world in midnight performances that are a surreal experience.

#4 A great release date: December 2, 2017
A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to see for the first time the infamous film in one of these special presentations and I have to confess that it was one of the funniest experiences I've had in the cinema. 'The Room' with its many technical problems, bad performances and such a bad story, is a disaster that is impossible not to captivate you. Amid jokes and laughter, fans point out the mistakes of the film, throw plastic spoons at the screen and at some point there are giant beach balls in the form of footballs that are thrown in the audience.
The film tells the story of Greg Sestero (Dave Franco), a young man who, after meeting the eccentric Tommy Wiseau (James Franco) in an acting class and becoming his friend, decides to move to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams of being actors . But when things do not go so well, Wiseau decides that he himself will write, direct and produce his own film in order to give the leading roles to himself and his friend Greg.
Which leads to the chaotic production of 'The Room', which is so unreal that it's almost impossible to believe it's a true story. James Franco directs the film and with the help of his brother Dave Franco and his group of friends, Seth Rogen and Zac Efron, they give us one of the best comedies of the year. It's very enjoyable and a fun look at the harsh reality behind the scenes of Hollywood glamor.
In addition to directing, Franco stars in the film as Tommy Wiseau, the extravagant and mysterious actor who stars in 'The Room', which is almost certain to earn him his second Oscar nomination. His interpretation is so good that sometimes you think you're seeing the real Wiseau on the screen. But the most admirable thing is that Franco manages to inject a lot of heart into the character that could have been very easy to turn into a joke.
It is a double task, but if you have the opportunity to see 'The Room' first, your experience of seeing 'The Disaster Artist' will be infinitely better. But do not worry if where you live there are no features of the worst movie in the history of cinema, 'The Disaster Artist' is still a great comedy that you can not miss.
